If you want success the solution is simple. Invest in yourself first, expect nothing from no one and be willing to work for everything. #gogetit #tjhoban #fitness #motivation
The difference between “hope” and “will” may seem slight, but I assure you it separates mediocrity from greatness. Their relationship is like that of slave and master. Hope is a feeling that one may attain whats desired. “I hope I succeed. I hope I don’t fail. I hope…” Will is a self-assertive creative drive in all individuals that leads us to accomplish something. “I will succeed. I will not fail. I will…” Hope relinquishes power to an outside force. Will becomes the force. This may seem like rhetoric, but the shift from hoping to willing will change your life. We’ve all heard of The Secret. Although you may not be able to will a bus from running you over, the more you assume responsibly for your success through the power of positive thinking and action, the greater your life will become. We all have an innate subconscious tendency to be drawn toward our thoughts. When you change your thoughts from, I hope to I will, something very subtle yet magnificently powerful occurs. We begin to attain, achieve, and succeed in ways we had only hoped. I’ve personally used this to better my life. And not just my career, but also my health. Eg: Whenever I’d fly home for the holidays and half the plane were sneezing, I’d say to myself “I hope I don’t get sick.” And without fail, I always would. Than 14 years ago I decided to tell myself “I will not get sick!” And I visualized my body destroying whatever virus or bacteria I just inhaled. Sounds hokey, but it worked. I haven’t been sick since. The mind is a powerful weapon that can either make or destroy you. It’s your responsibility to understand it and use it to achieve the life your desire. You may think there are somethings you absolutely can not change. But you can change your thoughts and feelings about those things to make your life better. In short, don’t be a slave to hope. Be the master of will and you will… TJ Hoban © #tjhoban #motivation #inspiration #fitspo #motivationalquotes #inspirationalqoutes #fitness #think #positive
Hey friends. Pick up the August issue of Muscle and Fitness w/ Hugh Jackman on the cover, now on stands for my article on Body Symmetry. It reveals the importance of resetting and strengthening muscular imbalances to avoid injury. If you have knee, back or joint pain, you may have imbalances causing some muscles to over compensate adding unnatural pressure on your skeletal system.

How many times have you been driving and got lost? It’s a very uneasy feeling that begins to magnify and can turn into full fledged choking anxiety. That is, until you find your way. We’re all goal oriented creatures at our core, dawning back through evolution. Without goals, without focus, we can get lost. Life is driving. But instead of a car, your driving you. So if you ever feel lost, know that it is a temporary state of being. Simply think about your future, your purpose, and decide where you’d like to be. Map it out with goals, lock in and go. Immediately you’ll find a renewed sense of self breeding confidence in your life; Rolling top down, wind in your hair, with limitless possibilities on the horizon. And if you ever fall off track, now you know the way back. Live with purpose!
The weekend is upon us. I challenge you to Train like a Champion, Eat like an Athlete, and Find some Fun in between. Summer is here. It’s time to get ripped.
Be blessed, TJ
Far too often people give up before they even get started. The task may be too big, daunting, painful, or never been done before. It’s easy to be dissuaded when you’re tired and staring at a mountain. When it comes to weight loss or body transformations, it’s no different. The mountain gets bigger and feeling gets worse the more weight you have to loose. But remember, things only seem impossible until they are done. The hardest part is always starting. Most will put it off until after a holiday, a busy work week, or once they get caught up on sleep. If you’re waiting for the perfect day, it’s never going to come. Unfortunately, most won’t feel compelled until they’re diagnosed with type II diabetes, life threatening high cholesterol, or heart disease. For those of you who simply do not care and will deal with changing only after the wheels fall off, I can not help you. But if you’re tired of looking horrible, feeling worse, and are ready to change your body for life, I have a very simple advice that will help. Call it my “Secret”. It’s very simple, but requires 100% commitment. But if you give it that, I guarantee you will succeed.
1. Choose a target date.
2. Envision how you want to look.
3. Now use every decision to step closer.
4. No excuses. No distractions. Only success. GO!
I’ve used this very method to literally transform my body at a young age and stay in peak shape my entire adult life. Of course, looking good is great, but feeling good is even more powerful. You can’t put a price on a heightened quality of life. Adversity will happen. The only constant is change. But to have the ability to deal from an empowered optimists view is priceless. That is what fitness gave me and I wish to share with you.
